HSA Friends of the Library and Archives

Our mission is to promote the use and enjoyment of our library, to raise funds to help improve library services and the archives, and to sponsor special programs. Furthermore, we aim to raise awareness of the library and its services among HSA members and the broader community.

Revitalizing the Friends of the Library & Archives will serve to advance the library/archives and its services through fundraising, promotions, increased use of the library, networking, and programs. This includes the vital work of preserving our rare book collection and digitizing historical documents to make the collection more accessible to our members, scholars, and the general public.

Funds raised from this program will be used to purchase new materials, support special projects in the library and archives (digitization of books and materials), help offset postage costs for borrowed books, and to bring new opportunities for fostering herbal education to all HSA members through the library.

These important activities through a reenergized Friends of the Library & Archives will help to ensure the library and archives is capable of adapting to new technologies and can maintain its role as The Society's resource center for herbal information.

The HSA Library would like to offer an opportunity to recognize its supporters and provide an avenue for participation for members dedicated to the library’s and archive’s success and longevity.
