Award Nominations Due October 15
For over seventy years, HSA has recognized hundreds of outstanding people in our organization and in our communities that demonstrate the delight of herbs in many different ways. The awards are:
* Certificate of Appreciation
* Certificate of Achievement
* Mighty Oak Award for Excellence in Conservation
* Nancy Putnam Howard Award for Excellence in Horticulture
* Madalene Hill Award for Excellence in Herbal Education
* Joanna McQuail Reed Award for the Artistic Use of Herbs
* Gertrude B Foster Award for Excellence in Herbal Literature
* Elizabeth Crisp Rea Award (for work in a public garden)
* Helen de Conway Little Medal of Honor
Whether you want to know more, want to nominate a special person, or have specific questions, here’s where to look and a few details.
Here’s how to nominate someone:
1. Be a member of HSA
2. Complete the nomination form**
3. Include the nominator’s letter of recommendation
4. Obtain and include at least three letters of support
* non-members may write letters of support
5. Submit the completed nomination packet to the *Awards Chair by October 15th
