8:00 AM Optional Tour to Houmas House and Gardens including The River Road Museum. A limited number of participants will depart the hotel at 8:30 AM and arrive at Houmas House by 9:00 AM where they will be divided into small groups. Led by trained docents, we will enjoy tours of the plantation house and outbuildings, wander extraordinary gardens, learn about life along the Mississippi when sugar was king, and gather for some southern hospitality. 

Houmas House Lunch Menu - River Road Buffet: Chicken & Andouille Gumbo; Caesar Salad (GF without croutons); Yellow Cornmeal Fried Catfish (GF); Barbeque Roasted Chicken (GF); Crawfish Alfredo with Penne Pasta; Red Beans, Sausage, and Rice (GF); Corn Maque Choux (GF); Chocolate Bread Pudding. Option B - Tournedos of beef (Sliced filet of tenderloin topped with wild mushroom bourbon sauce; smashed garlic potatoes, and haricot verte, tossed garden salad, dinner rolls, iced tea and coffee; and choice of Lemon Paradise Cake or Bananas Foster Cheesecake.
