Gathering Agenda and Information

For the first time in ten years, the NC Unit will host the Mid-Atlantic District Gathering in Greensboro, NC. Greensboro offers a nice mix of modern-day attractions and important historic sites, like the International Civil Rights Center and Museum. The weather in Greensboro should be pleasant this time of year and the following schedule of meetings and events should give you time to visit and explore. Exact times and maps will be in your Welcome Package when you arrive. Registration is limited! Register using the online form below.

Friday, October 4

3:00 pm – 4:30 pm     Welcome - Hotel Lobby – Hampton Inn, 222 W. McGee Street,  Greensboro, NC (Welcome bag given to those checking in)
Note: For special room rate make your reservation by September 4, 2024. A block of rooms has been reserved for HSA at $159 double. Call the hotel directly using the code MAD for HSA discount or book online with this LINK

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm      Reception at Greensboro History Museum; Buffet Reception (Hors D'oeuvres and wine);    
Friday Evening            Dinner on your own. See local restaurant list in your welcome bag.                                          

Saturday, October 5  
Breakfast on your own (Breakfast included for those staying at Hampton)

8:30 - 9:00 am       Arrival at First Baptist Church, 1000 West Friendly Ave., Greensboro, NC. Directions HERE

9:00 – 10:00 am    Welcome and District Meeting; Amy Johnson – Chair, North Carolina Unit

10:00 – 10:15 am  Break – Beverages; Vendor Visitation; Silent Auction opens
