 at we may remain in this room\, after the lecture\, to hold a short busine
 ss meeting. Lunch will be on our own. A note: There is no charge for this 
 program. However\, in order for the Park Service to have the staff they re
 quire\, we must give them a count two weeks before the date. Please reply 
 to Jane O’Sullivan by October 26. The firm Frederick Law Olmsted founded o
 ver a century ago was involved in over 6000 landscape architecture project
 s through- out North America. Beginning with the seminal work of New York’
 s Central Park\, Olmsted created landscapes that nourished both body and m
 ind and helped to nurture the nation’s democratic spirit. The 45-minute sl
 ide lecture will sample this rich landscape legacy and explore the ideas b
 ehind his designs. \nSpecial note: Parking is extremely limited and is acc
 essed at the back of the building\, around the corner from Warren Street o
 n Dudley Street. Otherwise\, parking is on-street on the south side of Dud
