X-WR-CALDESC:The New York Unit invites you to our Spring meeting at the his
 toric John Jay Homestead in Katonah\, New York. Our speaker is Deirdre Lar
 kin\, horticulturist and plant historian with a special interest in period
  gardens and medicinal herbs. Deirdre retired from the Metropolitan Museum
  of Art after a twenty-year association with The Cloisters Museum & Garden
 s\, home to an extensive collection of medieval plants. An herbal lunch wi
 ll be served and there will be a raffle. Herbal items and herb-related kit
 chen and garden products will be available for sale. Registration begins a
 t 10:00am. The program is open to all HSA members and the general public. 
 A donation of $20 to support the Herb Garden maintained by our unit is sug
 gested. \nSeating is limited therefore pre-registration is required at her
 bsocietyny@gmail.com.
