Styles\, Tastes and Seasons! \nWestern Reserve Herb Society presen
ts its 71th Annual Herb Fair!\nCleveland Botanical Garden\, 11030 East
Blvd.\, Cleveland Ohio\nSaturday\, October 8th 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. \n
\nThis year’s Herb Fair is a celebration of 71 years of herbal education a
nd herb crafting! We will have the wonderful homemade products that you h
ave always enjoyed like our famous herb jams and jellies and our delicious
hand blended herb teas. The creative members of The Western Reserve Herb
Society are also hard at work designing new products for you to enjoy. We
will offer culinary delights such as spicy salts\, herb mixes and culinary
rubs. Our herbal bread and cakes department is a crowd favorite and sells
out each year! The herbal wreath department offers original creations eac
h year that are a one of a kind works of art. Take home a fresh herb and f
lower nosegay from our handcrafted Tussie Mussie booth. \n\nYou’ll enjoy p
erusing our Garden Market where you’ll find beautiful plants and vintage g
arden accessories. Back by popular request will be our “Ask the Herb E
xperts” table where we’ll have the answers you need for all of your he
rbal gardening\, cooking and blending questions! “Make it and Take it”<
/i> herb crafts will be offered again this year\, appealing to all ages. O
ur goal will be to share our herbal knowledge with the public in an exciti
ng herb fair format. \n\nOn fair day you’ll also be able to learn about Pe
ppers\, or Capsicum\, the 2016 Herb of the Year™. You’ll be able to
take a guided tour of our lovely garden to see the varieties of peppers
that we grow. Discover how we use this versatile herb in cooking\, herb b
lends and even wreaths and tussie mussies. \n\nYou’ll be able to enjoy a f
ree herbal educational talk at the fair this year. Kathleen Gips will be t
eaching us about using herbs in the program: “Herbs for Flavor\, Fragr
ance and Fitness” presented at 12 noon. \n\nProceeds from the Herb Fai
r support Western Reserve Herb Society horticulture scholarships and our r
enowned Western Reserve Herb Society herb garden\, housed in the glorious
Cleveland Botanical Garden. Our Herb Fair is free with regular Botanical G
arden admission. Credit Cards will be accepted. Parking is free with a $20
