"This biennial or short-lived perennial rocket is a good alternative to annual rocket (roquette) or arugula (Eruca vesicaria subsp. sativa). It is extremely cold hardy, fast growing, slow to bolt, and self-sows generously, i.e. invasively. Plants reach 12-30 inches when flowering. The flowers are small, yellow, and four-petalled, typical of many species of the Brassicaceae family. The leaves are narrower than those of annual rocket and have a good, even better, mustard-like flavor. They are generously produced, as the stems constantly branch, so that you can pick fresh young growing tips, not just single leaves. Often described as annual but in my experience lives 2-3 years." – Deni Bown, Promising Plants Presentation, 2004
