"This is a plant developed by Faye Brawner. While the exact parentage is not completely known, Faye states
that P. odoratissimum (syn. P. 'Apple') was the principal plant in two generations of the many involved in a
hybridization project. This project was taking place during a time when she had to be away. Upon her return, as
she was getting ready to throw out the seedlings, she noticed the very large size of the leaves of this plant and
decided to grow it on. It grows very quickly and makes a spectacular basket plant with long floriferous racemes.
The scent is somewhat like apple but with a camphor overtone. P. 'Big Apple' is a tender perennial; however, it
managed to survive an overnight freeze in Faye's greenhouse. Not yet available in the trade."
