2002 Educational Conference Highlights

The Herb Society of America's 2002 Educational Conference and Annual Meeting of Members, "Herbs for the Mind, Body and Soul," was held May 30 through June 1 at Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, PA.

Featured speakers included children's herb gardening expert, Jane Taylor,  internationally respected herb and spice expert, Dr. James Simon, and author and Harvard University ethnobotanist/medical botanist, Dr. Judith Sumner. In total, fifteen speakers presented thirteen programs covering an array of herbal topics.

Participants also had the opportunity to peruse the offerings of herbal vendors during the Marketplace, and to attend pre and post-conference tours of local gardens.

The conference concluded with HSA's Annual Awards Ceremony.
