Join us in Nashville-a city of beautiful sounds and beautiful grounds for the 2010 Educational Conference & Annual Meeting of Members May 27-29, 2010 at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, Nashville TN.
Nashville, a city founded as a fort in 1779, was home to two U.S. presidents, the site of bloody Civil War battles, host of the 1897 World's Fair and is the quintessential antebellum Southern city. The Nashville area offers a vivid portrait of a bygone era, featuring graceful architecture, opulent mansions, a rich riverfront merchant district and much more.
Beautiful gardens abound in Nashville with Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art featuring 10 gardens each representing a group of plants or garden style and a sculpture trail with 13 different contemporary artistic designs. The Hermitage, was built by President Andrew Jackson for his wife Rachel. Over 95 percent of the home’s furnishings are original even the wallpaper in the grand foyer. The highlight of The Hermitage is Rachel’s private garden with an area of trees and flowers.
Nashville is home to over 80 record labels, 130 music publishers and over 180 recording studios. On any given night, there are over 100 live music clubs in Nashville where you can see and hear artists from every genre performing.
The promise of Nashville is to provide the ultimate entertainment experience- from the beautiful gardens to the diverse cultural and entertainment offerings presented in an authentic, unique, friendly and unpretentious atmosphere.
