Dr. Elsie Quarterman
Dr. Quarterman, of the Nashville Unit, is a retired Professor of Plant Ecology from Vanderbilt University. She is credited with the rediscovery of the native Tennessee coneflower, which was thought to be extinct.
Rosa Schachle
Rosa, of the North and Central Texas Unit, is known for sharing herb experiences with anyone in shouting distance. She mentors and inspires many through her lectures, and has memberships in several horticultural organizations.
Dalmae Tucker
Dalmae, of the Baton Rouge Unit, is noted for her volunteer efforts in the Baton Rouge community. She is an expert on "Biblical Herbs" and she is the vital force behind the success of her unit's Sensory Garden project.
Mary S. Cartwright
Mary, of the Nashville Unit, lectures and writes about herbs, teaches "Cooking with Herbs," and is known for her efforts in having a microfilmed copy of The Bishop of Westminster's Herbal presented to The Folger Shakespeare Library.
Marie Garvey Fowler
Marie, of the Arkansas Unit, is a researcher, teacher, lecturer, horticulturist and writer. Anyone who has been to one of her lectures will remember her portrayals of the Greek gods and goddesses, or of Aunt Becky's Civil War garden

Richard, of the Potomac Unit, provided patient leadership with many contributors as he edited The National Herb Garden Guidebook. This valuable resource demonstrates his commitment to The Society's mission and providing accurate information.
Deni Bown
Deni, a member from England, is the author of more than 20 books, including The HSA New Encyclopedia of Herbs and Their Uses. She is a Past Chairman of The British Herb Society, and is known as a photographer, writer and lecturer.
Rebecca H. Talbot
Becky, a member of The Nashville Unit, is known for her enthusiastic approach to gardening. She is a member of several horticultural societies and willingly shares her knowledge and opens her garden for others to enjoy.
Caroline W. Amidon
Caroline, of the Philadelphia Unit, is a Past President of The Society and is known for her loyalty, patience and dedication to the work of HSA. She graciously shares her talent, knowledge and experience, and is an inspiration to those privileged to know her.
